Eleven candidates are seeking election or re-election to Academy offices and the AAFP Board of Directors. The AAFP Congress of Delegates will elect officers and new directors Oct. 14 in Boston. Find out more about the candidates' views on key topics by checking out the 2009 "AAFP Candidates" Web page (Members Only). From that page, you can link to each candidate's individual Web page, read his or her personal statement, and review biographical information and a curriculum vitae.
You also can ask questions of the candidates via the "2009 Candidates Question & Answer Forum" option shown on the main candidates Web page or by using the "Question & Answer Forum" link shown in the left-hand column of each individual candidate's Web page. Be sure to check back later to see the candidates' responses to questions posed.
If you find you share common ground with some of the candidates on issues important to you and your practice, consider asking your chapter delegates to the AAFP Congress to vote for those candidates.
