It's "Lights, camera, action!" during the taping of the AAFP's patient-centered medical home videos at the College Park Family Care Center in Overland Park, Kan.
That's the take-away message from a new series of online videos created by the Academy and available as a free patient-centered medical home resource for family physicians.

Jane Krieger, R.N., J.D., assistant director of the AAFP's Practice Support Division, headed up the video project, which grew out of a brainstorming session with the division's quality improvement staff members.

"The purpose of the three videos is to share real family physician success stories and to motivate other AAFP members to make the same types of changes," said Krieger.

The three videos cover the following topics:
Krieger is encouraging members to evaluate the videos after viewing them and provide the AAFP's quality improvement team with their feedback, as well as their e-mail addresses.

The videos run less than 15 minutes each and were supported in part by a grant from Pfizer Inc.
