Improve Your Phone-side Manner

If your practice has problems stemming from patients hanging up on your office phone when placed on hold or being agitated after returning from being on hold, the AAFP may be able to help. For as little as $28.50 a month, Academy members can realize the benefits of customized on-hold messaging from Docs-On-Hold, a new program powered by Sound Products.

This price reflects a 60 percent discount from the normal cost and includes six total messages -- two customized and four from the master library -- quarterly e-mail reminders and message updates, and free equipment maintenance and service.

On average, patients spend more than 200 hours a year on hold. That time can be used to
  • educate patients about health issues;
  • enhance your practice's image;
  • provide such practice information as office hours, location, street and Web addresses, and information about referrals and prescription services; and
  • cross-promote additional services and specialties.
Don't let your patients get "hung up" on an inadequate on-hold service. Get more information online or by calling (800) 466-3666.
