The board of directors of the American Board of Family Medicine held its annual elections during the directors' meeting in Palm Springs, Calif., April 22-26. Karen Mitchell, M.D., of Rochester, Mich., is the new chair of the board of directors.
The other new officers are David Price, M.D., of Broomfield, Colo., chair-elect; Richard Clover, M.D., of Louisville, Ky., treasurer; and Joseph Hobbs, M.D., of Augusta, Ga., member-at-large on the executive committee.
The new directors are family physicians John Bucholtz, D.O., of Columbus, Ga., nominated by the AAFP Congress of Delegates, and Craig Czarsty, M.D., of Waterbury, Conn., and pediatrician Thomas Gessner, M.D., of Latrobe, Pa., who serves on the board of directors of the American Board of Pediatrics.
