In keeping with the theme of this year's conference, "Extraordinary Physicians in Extraordinary Times: Family Medicine Answers the Call," the event features a special program during which several family physicians will share their experiences of surviving Hurricane Katrina and serving others in the storm's aftermath, as well as stories about providing care for people half a world away.

- network with exhibitors from more than 350 residency programs, recruitment firms, health agencies and hospitals;
- develop your leadership skills by running for resident or student offices, serving as a constituent chapter delegate, or simply sharing your views on the issues affecting family medicine today;
- learn new procedures at any of the 11 procedural skills courses offered;
- participate in discussion groups, help craft resolutions to the resident and student congresses, or join in committee hearings and business sessions;
- meet with representatives from pharmaceutical and medical equipment manufacturers, publishers, and financial companies exhibiting at the meeting; and
- connect with old friends and make new ones at the Opening Social, Closing Party and daily yoga sessions.
