Images From 2006 Student, Resident Conference

From clinical procedures to procedural deliberations, 1,051 residents and 630 medical students gained new knowledge and skills Aug. 2-5 during the 2006 National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students.

The conference offered 47 workshops on various clinical and other topics, five procedural skills workshops and five guest lectures. In addition, the National Congress of Student Members and National Congress of Family Medicine Residents provided forums through which participants voiced their positions on topics ranging from pharmaceutical marketing to health care coverage for all.

Participants kicked up their heels during an opening night networking social and, after a week of garnering new skills and information, electing leaders for the coming year and voting on more than 60 resolutions, enjoyed an evening of dancing during the conference's closing party.
