Residents, Students Elect New Leaders

Delegates to the National Congress of Family Medicine Residents and National Congress of Student Members chose new leaders here Aug. 4 to represent them in the coming year. Here are the election results:

Resident and student members of the AAFP Board of Directors: Tobie-Lynn Smith, M.D., M.Ed., of San Antonio and Beth Lawson of Eudora, Kan.

Chairs of the 2008 National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students: Emily Briggs, M.D., M.P.H., of San Antonio and Amy McIntyre of Cranston, R.I.

Alternate delegates to the 2007 AAFP Congress of Delegates: Roy Miner, Jr., M.D., M.P.H., of Muncie, Ind.; Robert Stenger, M.D., M.P.H., of Portland, Ore.; Lisa Dapuzzo of Hershey, Pa.; and Michael Oller of Kansas City, Kan.

Resident representative to the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors Board of Directors: Shirish Balachandra, M.D., of Rochester, N.Y.

National family medicine interest group coordinator: Robert Jeske of Miami
