AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents & Medical Students -- Access information on both the conference and on scholarships and awards for attending the conference.
American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Scientific Assembly -- Presentation and poster opportunities at the AAFP Scientific Assembly.
AAFP Foundation Research Skills Training Workshop -- The Research Skills Training Workshop is conducted by the AAFP Foundation for family medicine residents. It is designed to help residents to gain an appreciation of the need for research in family medicine; develop skills in basic research design and research conducted in the realm of family medicine; understand how to translate a general research question into a research hypothesis; learn basic study designs; and to recognize the importance of appropriate methods and statistical consultation. Reports on the Research projects will be submitted and judged to select up to five winning papers. The winning resident investigators will receive a scholarship to attend the next National Conference to give a 10-minute presentation on their research projects
American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation (AAFP/F) Resident & Student Information -- Resident and student awards and scholarship information.
American Cancer Society (ACS) Research Scholar Grants -- Support investigator-initiated research projects in basic, preclinical, clinical and epidemiologic research. Awards are for up to four years and for up to $200,000 per year, plus 20% allowable indirect costs.
