Individual Clinician, Practice and Residency Membership
Thank you for your interest in the AAFP National Research Network. Clinicians are welcome to join as individuals or as a group.
Individual clinician membership consists of either physicians in solo practice or those in a multi-clinician practice who want to join on their own without the whole practice.
Practices and residency membership allows the entire group to join and conduct a study collectively. All members in a practice and/or residency are not required to join together. Any number of physicians from the group are welcome.
As always, we are actively looking for primary care physicians to participate in a wide variety of research and quality improvement projects. Participation in the AAFP NRN is free of charge and the amount of involvement is left completely up to each physician. Our projects often vary from quick surveys to more involved randomized control trials that incorporate change into a practice.
Criteria for participation and enrollment
All clinicians interested in becoming a member need to be affiliated with a primary care practice; complete the required enrollment and demographic materials, and be willing to participate in a studies on a periodic basis.
If you are interested in joining the AAFP National Research Network, please complete the Enrollment Form in the Related Links box and submit to Kaari Kittell at firstname.lastname@example.org or via fax at 913-906-6099. She will follow up with additional materials regarding your participation and membership.
We specifically ask that you complete the questionnaire Kaari sends you. It will provide Network staff with important information about you, your practice, and your patients that will be beneficial to the growth of the Network and for your involvement in future studies.
After you have enrolled, you will begin receiving announcements for any new research studies. If the subject is of interest to you and your practice, please respond as indicated in the notification. Our staff will then assist you in determining if your practice fits the inclusion criteria for that project.
