Drug Nutrient Interactions & Drug Supplement Interactions Webcast

As primary health care providers, family physicians are uniquely positioned to counsel patients about drug and nutrient interactions. The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) developed the following webcast to provide our members with tools and resources to assist in engaging their patients about medication and dietary supplement interactions and their potential for nutrient depletion. It includes tips to counsel patients and information from a helpful resource called the "HERBAL Guide," which provides steps to engage patients about their dietary supplement use.

Robert Alan Bonakdar, MD, FAAFP, director of pain management at the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine, presented "Drug Nutrient Interactions (DNI) & Drug Supplement Interactions (DSI)" to AAFP members in June 2016. That presentation is divided into eight webcast segments below.
