The Merced program trains physicians to provide care in rural and under-served environments as a major tenet of our philosophy of education. We foster independent learning, provide strong faculty support, and a rich variety of experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We emphasize maternity care, delivery experience, ICU care, and the care of the medically underserved. We have strong community support and a new hospital in 2009!
