The program, a UCSF affiliate, attracts residents who desire hands-on experience & a significant responsibility for patient care. An esprit de corps exists as we serve the medically indigent of our county. Highlights are training in obstetrics, extensive pediatric exposure, CCU/ICU skills, and outpatient clinical experience. A night float call system exists for all years. Salinas is 2 hrs south of San Francisco & 30 minutes from Monterey/Carmel.
