The Dixon Rural Training Track is designed for residents who anticipate a career in a rural setting. PGY-1 is spent primarily in Rockford, with two clinic half-days per week in Dixon. PGY-2 and PGY-3 are spent full-time in Dixon. The small size of the program creates a supportive but challenging environment where residents work one-on-one with community faculty. Residents learn to become a part of the rural health care system.
