Established to prepare residents for practice in suburbs, small town or underserved communities. Emphasis on Community Med., health screen and public health. R-1 at tertiary hospital, R-2/R-3 in a primary care hospital. All R-2/R-3 rotations possible at suburban-rural site. Continuity clinics in private group practice & public health dept in Monroe. No required in house call R2/R3 years but continuity practice coverage on average 5-6 night.
