Program encourages development of on-going self-directed skills, with appropriate use of resources and sound clinical problem solving skills. It also maintains a sports medicine service associated with the University of North Dakota athletic department. An important feature is also the family practice teaching service. The residents admit and take care of their own patients referred to them by community physicians.
