The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recognizes the tremendous contributions and sacrifices of transgender and gender diverse uniformed service members. The AAFP supports gender inclusive identity options including but not limited to male and female on all legal and government documentation, including service and medical records for uniformed service members.
