The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recognizes the importance of lifestyle interventions such as diet, physical activity, stress management, and emotional wellness in the prevention and management of common conditions seen in family medicine. The AAFP supports payment for evidence-based, lifestyle medicine interventions in physician practices.
