Television and Digital Media, Ethics

The American Academy of Family Physicians supports television and digital media programming that encourages healthy lifestyles, promotes positive social behaviors and social equity, and accurately portrays social and political issues. Programming should also avoid modeling violence and discriminatory behaviors, the use of tobacco, vapes, e-cigarettes, and illicit drugs, and the misuse of alcohol. (1989) (January 2022 COD)
