    Pricing

    Why isn't my price final until I view my cart?

    The AAFP offers special pricing on some products and subscriptions. Your price may depend on your profession, your location, or both. For this reason, the price we've shown you an estimate until you have completed the steps where we ask for this information. If you feel that there is an error with the price you see upon checking out, please contact us.

    An AAFP account is required to purchase AAFP products online, please log in to see your price. Purchases may be subject to applicable sales tax.

    Do medical students or residents get a discount or special pricing?

    Some products have special pricing for AAFP members who are medical students and residents. If you qualify for special pricing, it will display in your shopping cart. 

    Shipping

    When will my order ship?

    The AAFP processes orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders entered after 3 p.m. CT will be processed the next business day (i.e., an order entered at 4 p.m. on Friday will be processed the following Monday). It is our objective to ship all merchandise orders within three business days after they are processed.

    When will my subscription ship?

    You can expect to receive your first issue 4 to 6 weeks after your order is placed.

    How will my order be shipped to me?

    The AAFP uses UPS for shipping. Subscriptions are sent via United States Postal Service.

    I want my order shipped to an address that is not part of my permanent record. What should I do?

    Shipping Rates and Policies

    AAFP's goal is to process and ship all orders within three business days of being received. The AAFP ships most packages using UPS.

    • Free shipping for AAFP members.
    • Nonmembers will incur a shipping charge of $10.95 per item.

    Next day/Second Day Shipping:

    Next day service where available (phone orders only) – +$35 (International priority rates apply)

    Second day service where available (phone orders only) – +$15

    Next day/second day shipping is not available for online orders. If you need next day shipping, please call (800) 274-2237 or (913) 906-6000 and place your order by phone. The AAFP will send your order using the service requested.
     

    International shipments are sent using FedExpress services.

    Package tracking – Items sent by Federal Express are assigned a tracking number. If you need assistance tracking a package, call (800) 274-2237 or (913) 906-6000.

    Billing

    When will my credit card be charged?

    Your credit card will be charged when you place your order.

    Online Items

    Online items are products you can access online immediately after purchase.

    How do I access my online item?

    There are multiple ways after you log in to your AAFP account.

    You have access to the online products until CME credit expires, if applicable.

    Refunds and Returns

    Merchandise Refund Policy

    If you purchase an AAFP product, are not 100% satisfied, and meet the eligibility requirements, contact us within seven days of your purchase for a full refund. There are exceptions to our seven day refund policy.

    If you meet our eligibility requirements, call the AAFP Member Resource Center at (800) 274-2237 (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. CT). A representative will work with you to get the request submitted on your behalf.

    Eligibility:

    1. Purchases that are made by a customer who has previously received a product refund are not eligible for a refund. Only one product refund per customer is available.

    2. Purchases of products for which the customer has reported CME credit for are not eligible for a refund.
     

    Online Products:
    Once you have completed your online order for a course, you have immediate access to the course. Refunds are not available for any online courses purchased.

    The AAFP reserves the right to refuse to sell to individuals who consistently make large purchases only to request to return them.
     

    What if the materials I receive are damaged or defective?

    If anything you received was damaged in transit or is otherwise defective, please call the AAFP Member Resource Center at (800) 274-2237 (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. CT) immediately to get the item replaced at no charge. Please keep the original packaging.

    Where do I send the materials I want to return?

    Please send the products to be returned along with your invoice (or photocopy of invoice) with the reason for the return to:

    Return your package, prepaid, via UPS, FedEx or insured parcel post with delivery confirmation. (Sorry, we do not accept CODs.)

    Subscriptions Refund Policy

    AAFP print and digital monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Digital subscriptions are non-refundable. Note: If you cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription, your access continues until the end of your then-current subscription term. Print subscriptions may be eligible for a pro-rated refund on the remaining issues.

    Online Access Refund Policy

    Online streaming access to a CME activity is a non-returnable, non-refundable purchase.
