    Organizations Affiliated with the AAFP

Primary care and patient advocacy drive the members of the AAFP. Thanks to the work of our AAFP-affiliated organizations, we’re able to put our passion into action.

    The AAFP Foundation

The AAFP Foundation strives to make a positive impact on the future of family medicine—calling on physicians, corporations, and individuals to join in the vision. As the philanthropic arm of the American Academy of Family Physicians, The AAFP Foundation advances the values of family medicine by promoting humanitarian, scientific, and educational initiatives that improve the health of all people.

The efforts of The Foundation are made possible through donations made either directly to the AAFP Foundation, or by family physicians checking off voluntary support on their AAFP dues statements. You, as an AAFP member, deserve to know where your dollars go, so we regularly communicate with members to provide information on programs and grant opportunities, share results, and request support or participation.

    The Robert Graham Center

Located in the heart of politics, Washington, DC, the Robert Graham Center: Policy Studies in Family Medicine and Primary Care conducts research and analysis to inform the AAFP’s policy work. The team at the Robert Graham Center exists to enhance the delivery of primary care by first improving individual and population health.

Our strategy is to generate evidence that shows relations between family medicine and health policy deliberations. From the local to international levels, The Center aims to bring primary care perspective to governmental issues.
