Program Description
This is a rural training program with the first year spent at an urban training program alongside unopposed family medicine residents. The second two years take place at an independent, rural critical access hospital and rural health clinic with robust full-spectrum family medicine services. The program emphasizes acute care and procedural skills to prepare residents to provide obstetrics, inpatient and emergency care in any setting. You will graduate with Family Medicine with Obstetrics qualifications and gain extensive hands-on experience through over 80 births, emergency care, inpatient medicine, and outpatient continuity clinics in a critical access hospital environment. You will be well prepared for rural “last-mile” healthcare.
