    Program Description

    York was one of the first family medicine residencies in the U.S. We are supported by our full-service, 600 bed community hospital and we use cutting edge technology with our patient simulation center and skills lab. Our award winning faculty includes multiple AAFP Excellence in Graduate Medical Education Award winners, an AAFP part-time teacher of the year, and a Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians Family Physician of the year. Our full-time faculty teaches and practices maternal care, hospital care, POCUS, dermoscopy, transgender care, OMT, MAT and geriatrics. Our pediatric training is superb. We offer diverse electives to meet each resident’s unique interests, including international experiences. Our patients live in urban, suburban & rural communities. York is situated among the rolling hills of South-central Pennsylvania & it is an easy drive to Baltimore, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C. We promote balance between education, patient service, & resident well-being.
