Program Description
Join the FM revolution at Santa Clara Valley Healthcare Family Medicine Residency Program, formerly Stanford-O’Connor FMRP. Since 1977, our innovative, academically rigorous, community-based program has trained physicians to practice and lead in full-spectrum family medicine. Residents train in an unopposed, county-owned community hospital and care for San Jose’s diverse, underserved communities in our Federally Qualified Health Center residency clinic. We offer excellent inpatient, behavioral health, and outpatient training; a sports medicine fellowship; and enrichment pathways in faculty development/academic medicine (OSLER), advanced maternity care, integrative medicine, POCUS, and health equity. Our Stanford Medicine affiliation provides additional opportunities in teaching and scholarship. Located in the Bay Area, residents enjoy San Jose’s cultural and culinary diversity, San Francisco, Santa Cruz beaches, and nearby wine country. Join us in shaping the future of family medicine!
