    Program Description

    Our community-based, university-affiliated residency is unparalleled. Residents rotate at our non-profit 339-bed community hospital housing the second busiest emergency room in the state. Our curriculum, combined with the diverse patient pathology of our community, provides an ideal clinical learning environment for eager learners. Our faculty are committed to serving our community through our teaching and the ideals of our discipline of Family Medicine, along with our mission to care for the underserved. The city of Rockford is a family-oriented, diverse community supporting a large park system with trails. Theaters, museums, a symphony orchestra and unique restaurants thrive throughout Rockford.
