    Program Description

The UND Center for Family Medicine in Bismarck, ND is a community-based program affiliated with and administered by UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences. We offer training in the full spectrum of Family Medicine with faculty who perform endoscopy, obstetrics, gynecological procedures, and dermatologic/cosmetic procedures including pulse-light therapy, dermal fillers and botox injection. We have a full cadre of Family Medicine faculty one of whom is a certified Geriatrician. We also employ a general internist, an OB-GYN, two pediatricians, and a diabetes educator. Residents complete all of their required rotations in the Bismarck area with the exception of inpatient pediatrics that is done at the Kapiolani Women's and Children's Center in Honolulu, HI. Funding for housing and travel is provided by the UND for this rotation. We draw patients from all of central ND and provide care to the under-served as well as to a large American Indian population.
