    Program Description

    The UC Davis Family and Community Medicine Residency has served our communities for over 50 years. Our residents have continuity clinics in community FQHCs and inpatient training in the region's premier tertiary care academic medical center, in addition to working at our local VA hospital. This breadth of experience helps our residents have a deep understanding of the multitude of ways in which family medicine physicians can provide care. Our residents are leaders in clinical care delivery, education, and advocacy around the country.Our goal is to train excellent, full spectrum family medicine residents who combine social consciousness with evidence based medical knowledge, and know that our care is centered on longitudinal caring relationships with patients, their families, and their communities, anchored in cultural humility.
