Program Description
#LEARN. GROW. SERVE! Graduates of CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency - Springfield practice ambulatory and hospital medicine, with some focusing on specific areas of FM, including dermatology, pediatric, urgent, and wound care. We support our residents in finding their professional identity, serving their community well, and fostering their personal interests. We are a thriving program that provides a full scope of family medicine experience. Our healthcare system has featured EMR since 1996, and currently utilizes EPIC. Our FMC is a PCMH Level 3 clinic serving a high volume of patients with a variety of specialty clinics. The residency is collaborative, highly resourced, and family medicine FIRST! Inpatient services are robust and include pediatric, adult and ICU care. Residents do not take call; instead, we utilize a night-float shift system. We enjoy a partnership with Jordan Valley Health, an FQHC, and we are a certified Lifestyle Medicine residency.
