    Program Description

As one of Michigan's oldest Family Medicine residency programs, we offer a tradition of excellence and innovation in resident education. Our faculty are deeply committed to teaching, and residents play an active role in shaping and improving the curriculum. Distinctive features of our program include dedicated training in office-based procedures, Osteopathic Recognition, integrated behavioral health with a PhD psychologist, and strong Sports Medicine mentorship. We serve a diverse and medically underserved patient population, providing residents with extensive experience addressing complex medical, behavioral, and social determinants of health. Our program also supports full-spectrum Family Medicine training, with five faculty members actively practicing obstetrics, including two with c-section privileges. Through strong faculty mentorship, broad clinical experiences, and a collaborative learning environment, residents graduate well prepared for practice in a wide variety of settings.
