    Program Description

OHSU offers training in Family Medicine which is comprehensive in its breadth and depth. Residents receive broad scope clinical experience as well as robust training in leadership, advocacy and public policy. As part of the length of training pilot we are a 4 year residency with Area of Concentration (AoC) time in the 3rd and 4th years. Residents can chose from our existing AoC’s which are Women and Children’s Health, Rural Family Medicine, Academics and Research, Comprehensive Family Medicine or Global Health. Alternatively, residents are also free to create their own individual AoC with the guidance of the faculty. Residents will also be exposed to the breadth of clinical practice types in our 5 clinic sites. These sites include university based clinic, community clinic, urban FQHC, rural clinic and an integrated health system clinic.
