Program Description
Mercer/MCCG Family Medicine offers a unique combination of university affiliation and a community practice focus in a 650-bed tertiary care center. Our curriculum includes novel rotations in Peripartum and outpatient Pediatric care, web-based coursework, and a strong Integrative Medicine focus. Monthly hands-on procedure workshops range from biofeedback, osteopathic manipulative therapy, and colposcopy to exercise treadmill testing. Our residents admit to neonatal, pediatric, medical, neurologic, and cardiac ICUs. Our NIH and HRSA research faculty encourage resident participation in projects that have brought $10 million to the program this year in projects focused on lifestyle, diabetesm and alcohol intervention. For interested residents we offer Geriatric, Integrative Medicine and WOmen's Health Tracks.
