    Program Description

Nestled in beautiful ‘green country’ in the northeastern corner of Oklahoma we work hard to provide a medical home model that cares for patients along the entire life continuum. Residents work in a "Clinic First" setting with two weeks of each month dedicated to ambulatory practice. This setting allows residents to have a predictable work schedule allowing for activities outside of residency training that provide well-being and work life balance. Dedicated faculty teach residents about the “health disparities” faced by patients and model the best aspects of being a family medicine physician. We’ve taken on the crisis of those in our community with no health coverage by starting an after-hours clinic for the uninsured staffed by medical students and volunteer physicians. Ultimately, we’re driven by a desire to educate you, the physicians of tomorrow, to be doctors who can serve your communities to the highest standard; one grounded in education and built with compassion.
