    Program Description

Our residents train in the full scope of family medicine in our regional hospital and community clinic located on campus with the founding school of Osteopathic Medicine! We enjoy the resources provided by ATSU-KCOM including their Human Patient Simulator Lab, Ultrasound Lab, and OMM Lab. Interns have a year-round, rotating in-house hospital call schedule in which they manage overnight patient issues and admissions for our hospital services with the supervision of an in-house senior resident. We are located in the birthplace of Osteopathic Medicine, and our program is committed to maintaining Osteopathic Recognition. Our residents are able to pursue interests in endoscopy, osteopathic manipulation, medical education, obstetrics, and emergency medicine. After a satisfactory intern year, our residents are eligible to moonlight. Our residents mentor ATSU-KCOM 3rd and 4th year medical students regularly in our clinic and on our educational hospital service.
