    Program Description

    For over 50 years, Lancaster General Hospital Family Medicine Residency program has maintained an excellent reputation for graduating stellar full-spectrum Family Physicians. One of the largest Family Medicine residencies in the country, we remain the only residency sponsored by our hospital. We are very honored that for several years running US News and World Report and Doximity have ranked among top 10 Family Medicine Residency Programs in the country! Lancaster has a diverse patient population. All of our residents practice in urban and rural settings. For residents who wish to focus on a particular aspect of medicine, we offer 17 Areas of Concentration, including Integrative Medicine, HIV/AIDs, Global Health, Sports Medicine, Maternity Care and Research.
