Program Description
NGMC Family Medicine Residency is a special place because of the community we serve and the people who want to work in a culture of support and kindness. We are committed to improving the health of the community in all we do. Our enthusiastic faculty are supportive and caring. We provide an environment where questions are encouraged, so that we can support the growth and needs of the resident. We strive to keep a growth mindset that practices inclusivity. Our residents are supportive of one another and very involved in the community. When you see our facilities and clinic, you will understand the support we have from the hospital in this growth. Because we are a new residency, we have flexibility and can adapt to the ever-changing environment present in medicine today. NGMC Family Medicine is looking to train tomorrow' leaders via advocacy and policy. We have a Leadership Month during second year where residents focus on improving our community and advocating for Family medicine at Georgia's state capital. Come join our team if you want to learn full scope family medicine - including OB, women's health, sports medicine, newborns to geriatrics, inpatient, outpatient, LGBTQ+ friendly, OMT, community medicine, and every thing in between.
