Program Description
•The Florida State University College of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program at Lee Memorial Health System (University-Affiliated, Community-Based, unopposed program) is located in beautiful Fort Myers, FL on the southwest Florida coast. •increasing to 11 residents per year •5th largest public hospital system in US; residents rotate through HealthPark Medical Center, the Golisano Children’s Hospital, and Lee Memorial Hospital; Average daily census 900 with broad range of pathology •Level 2 Trauma Center at Lee Memorial Hospital and Level 3 NICU at the Golisano Children’s Hospital •Opportunity for international medicine experiences precepted by residency faculty •State-of-the-art Family Medicine Center with Epic EHR (inpatient, outpatient, CPOM) •All residents supplied with desktop computer in individual office cubicle and $500 laptop reimbursement •Excellent benefit package including $1000/month housing subsidy (rent or purchase home) •Experienced core faculty (9 family medicine, 2 clinical psychologists and 1 pharmacist) precepting in Family Medicine Center, inpatient medicine service, and OB service
