    Program Description

    The Baptist Memorial Health Care residency program is the newest Family Medicine training program in Memphis. Set within an urban geography, it was conceived and founded to train those individuals who feel called to learn a holistic approach to healing mind, body and spirit, in an underserved environment, using the best clinical practices and via the most innovative primary care models. Training emphasizes not only individual skills or techniques, but also developing the capacity to function effectively within a complex integrated health care team. Small class size ensures that all residents have the opportunity for as much individual mentorship with our experienced faculty as they need, in order to design their own particular pathway to becoming a healer.
