Program Description
Our program emphasizes continuity of care within a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), where residents work closely with an interdisciplinary team caring for an underserved rural population. Integrated pharmacy and behavioral health services, along with specialty experiences such as Procedure Clinic, OBOT Clinic, Osteopathic Manipulation Clinic, and Psychiatric Consult Clinic, provide broad outpatient training. Residents receive full-spectrum family medicine training, including inpatient rotations throughout all three years and strong obstetrical experience. With no competing residency programs at Providence Centralia Hospital, residents gain significant autonomy and hands-on experience in a community hospital setting. Wellness is a core program value. Through a dedicated wellness curriculum, residents and faculty learn strategies to manage the challenges of modern medicine, promote resilience, and support long-term career satisfaction in family medicine.
