    Program Description

Our curriculum is unique in several ways. Residents will spend year one of the program in Tyler, where they will work at the University hospital, Trinity Mother Francis, and East Texas Medical Center. Beginning in year two, residents will experience continuity of care in the clinic and the hospital, while they learn to apply telemedicine technologies to incorporate metroplex consultants into care of our patients here in Hopkins County. Family medicine residency graduates are pre-pared to provide acute medical care, preventive health services and chronic desease management.
