Program Description
The NCFM/Sterling rural training track program is designed to prepare graduates for rural family medicine practice. The first year of training occurs in Greeley utilizing block rotations. An excellent foundation in inpatient medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics is obtained. The second and third year of training occur 100 miles Northeast in Sterling. The curriculum in Sterling longitudinally provides continued experiences in medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency medicine, orthopedics, gynecology, to name a few, with local and visiting specialists. Sterling Regional MedCenter is a busy 25 bed hospital that is very proud of its residency program and resident physicians.
