Program Description
The UCF/HCA Florida Ocala Family Medicine Residency Program is a community-based, university-affiliated program that prepares six residents per class for broad-spectrum, independent family medicine practice. Residents receive comprehensive training across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, critical care, maternity, newborn, pediatric, geriatric and behavioral health settings while maintaining continuity clinics at a federally qualified health center serving medically and socially complex patients. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning through office procedures, point-of-care ultrasound, women’s health, musculoskeletal and sports medicine, dermatology, acute and chronic disease management, simulation and interdisciplinary education. Residents participate in quality improvement, scholarly activity, health systems science, education and leadership development.
