Program Description
The Department of Family Medicine at MUSC was established in 1970 as one of the first university-based departments in the country and our residency program was established that time. Our residency is a university-based training program and we recruit for 10 positions per year. To date, we have graduated over 500 family physicians! Our graduates have excelled in both private and academic practice and have excellent match rates into specialty fellowships. We are proud to offer a variety of track options to appeal to the various resident interests.
