    Program Description

The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix/Payson Family Medicine Residency is a rural, full-spectrum training program with only two residents per class. Our size allows for individualized mentorship, frequent one-on-one teaching with faculty, strong procedural training, and meaningful continuity relationships with patients and the community. Residents gain experience in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, obstetric, pediatric, geriatric, and behavioral health care while benefiting from the academic resources and shared didactics of the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. We prepare graduates to confidently serve rural and underserved populations.
