Program Description
The El Rio Health Family Medicine Residency program prepares resident physicians for a lifelong career in family medicine. The program’s 3-year curriculum is focused on community needs, evidence-based medicine, and quality improvement in healthcare. Residents can participate in teen clinics, special immunology, and sports medicine in addition to many other community experiences. Faculty and residents work together to manage patients’ physical and psychological conditions and provide preventive health care. Our goal is to graduate exceptional family physicians and leaders with the skills to care for individuals from all backgrounds using their clinical acumen, compassion and understanding of the communities served.
