    Program Description

The Regional Center for Border Health Family Medicine Residency is a community-based, rural program serving the U.S.-Mexico border region. Residents care for diverse, underserved populations in community health centers while receiving comprehensive inpatient and specialty training through affiliated urban and rural hospitals across Arizona. Our program offers unique opportunities in border health, binational collaboration, community outreach, advocacy, and meaningful scholarly projects through the longstanding work of Regional Center for Border Health and San Luis Walk-In Clinic. As a growing residency, residents help shape the program while preparing to become compassionate, full-spectrum family physicians committed to improving the health of border communities.
