The AAFP selects one resident as a member of the delegation to the AMA House of Delegates (HOD). Members of the AMA HOD serve as an important communications, policy and membership link between the AMA and grassroots physicians. The delegates are a key source of information on activities, programs and policies of the AMA. They are expected to foster positive and useful two-way relationship between grassroots physicians and the AMA leadership.
Term: October 1, 2022 - September 30, 2024
Required elements of the application include: Letter of Interest, Letter of Chapter Support, Letter of Support from Program Director, and a Photo. This position is appointed by the AAFP Board of Directors after review and recommendation by a selection committee. Candidates to be notified of the selection by September 30, 2022.
