The impact of COVID-19 was devastating for Native American Communities. Early in the pandemic, the Navajo Nation had the highest rates of COVID-19 in the world. Providing patient care in a rural setting with unique cultural and community considerations during the pandemic led to a renewed commitment to addressing health disparities.
