The ACEs Aware initiative is a first-in-the nation effort to screen patients for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to help improve and save lives. ACEs are potentially traumatic events that occur when we are young. ACEs and the associated toxic stress they create are the root causes of some of the most common, serious, and costly health and social challenges facing our state. ACEs Aware hosts monthly provider educational webinars to promote shared learning and quality improvement.
