Back to some basic patient care topics that we deal with daily in our jails and prisons. These are: integrating mental health and physical health care and integrating a pharmacist in chronic care clinic, medical and mental health to address “treatment by un-treatment” and how and when to improve patient care by deprescribing, and a look at the future of correctional medicine. Finally, a focus on why ethical and legal foundations are essential for correctional medical providers.
