This course will explore the importance of nutrition in preconception, pregnancy, and post-partum health for the mother, child, and family. Participants will understand how nutrition may be linked to adverse pregnancy outcomes such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, low birth weight and pre-term deliveries. Clinical tools and resources will be shared to assist participants with supporting patients to improve their nutrition status prior to conception, throughout pregnancy, and postpartum.
