While we here at the AAFP may celebrate family physicians all year long, Family Medicine Week is a dedicated annual observance from Sept. 29–Oct. 4 that celebrates the vital role family physicians play in delivering comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals and communities.
Family physicians are the trusted messengers of health care—connecting patients to the information, guidance and care they need. Yet their voices too often go unheard, even as they face growing workforce shortages, burnout and increasing demands.
From caring for patients across generations to helping patients cut through the noise from many information sources, family physicians are a trusted source of information for both their patients and their larger communities.
Thanks for celebrating Family Medicine Week with us! By sharing your story, you’re helping highlight the trust at the heart of family medicine. Collected stories will be shared in future campaigns to show its lasting impact.
